Application

  • These terms and conditions apply to all enquiries made to Startus1, from requesting a quote to confirming a booking.

  • The hirer is responsible for the booking, as well as the actions and decisions of all passengers on board, including any additional costs incurred by Startus1 in fulfilling the contract.

  • Startus1 will only take instructions from the hirer or an authorized individual with the relevant job number. Therefore, the hirer must provide all necessary details related to the booking.

  • By proceeding with the booking and paying the deposit, the hirer acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions.

Quotations

  • Quotations are provided based on the specific instructions given by the hirer.

  • The route taken will be determined by Startus1 unless the hirer has specified a particular route, which will be clearly indicated in the booking confirmation.

  • Quotations remain valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.

  • A quotation will become invalid and require a revised quote if any of the following changes occur:

    • Additional information is provided

    • The journey details are modified

    • The travel distance is altered

    • A different vehicle size is required

    • Additional pick-ups or drop-offs are added

Route and Time Variation

  • Startus1 reserves the right to apply additional charges for any extra mileage or time beyond what was originally agreed upon.

  • While Startus1 may recommend a pickup time to ensure timely arrival at the destination, it is the hirer’s responsibility to confirm the pickup time. The hirer assumes full liability for any timing decisions made.

  • Startus1 is not responsible for delays or late arrivals if the hirer chooses to alter the suggested pickup time and subsequently does not have sufficient travel time.

Breakdowns and Delays

  • In the event of a breakdown or if a vehicle fails to arrive, Startus1 will arrange for a backup vehicle to complete the journey.

  • Startus1 is not responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused by unexpected traffic congestion or road closures

  • If the hirer does not inform Startus1 of any accessibility issues, roadworks, or other potential route disruptions that they could reasonably be expected to know about, Startus1 will not be liable for any resulting delays.

  • Journey timings should be planned to allow for reasonable, unforeseen delays.

  • For journeys exceeding 2.5 hours, a short comfort break may be included in the schedule.

  • If a comfort break is required but was not requested at the time of quotation and booking, any resulting delays will be the hirer’s responsibility.

  • Startus1 is not liable for any costs or losses due to missed events or occasions resulting from delays or lateness caused by passengers.

     

Drivers’ Hours

  • A coach driver is required to take a 45-minute break after 4.5 hours of driving.

  • If traffic or unexpected delays occur, this may impact the driver’s schedule, requiring breaks to be taken as mandated by law.

Seating Capacity

  • The vehicle size will be agreed upon with the hirer at the time of booking.

  • The hirer must not exceed the vehicle’s maximum seating capacity under any circumstances.

     

Prohibited Items

  • Animals are not permitted in the vehicle, except for assistance dogs, which must be disclosed to Startus1 before the journey.

  • Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on the vehicle, including but not limited to:

    • Knives

    • Firearms

    • Explosives (e.g., fireworks)

  • Excessive, oversized baggage will not be carried in the vehicle.

Confirmation

  • A written confirmation serves as official acknowledgment of a booking or any modifications made to it.

  • The hirer is required to carefully review the confirmation, sign it, and return it to Startus1 to verify the accuracy of all details.

  • If the hirer does not return the signed confirmation but proceeds with full payment, Startus1 will consider the booking details to be accurate and final.

  • After the confirmation has been issued, any errors or discrepancies that are not reported remain the responsibility of the hirer.

Cancellation by the Hirer

  • If the hirer wishes to cancel the transport, the following scale of charges will apply in relation to the total hire charge:

    • 10 days or more prior to travel – 50% charge

    • 6 to 9 days before travel – 60% charge

    • 3 to 5 days before travel – 70% charge

    • 1 to 2 days before travel – 80% charge

    • Same-day cancellations – No refund will be issued
  • Additionally, any pre-purchased tickets or extra services beyond coach travel are non-refundable.

  • All deposits are non-refundable.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds, when applicable, will be issued to the original payment method or arranged through an alternative means.

  • Refunds apply only to travel-related charges and do not cover additional services or purchases.

  • Processing times may take up to 5 working days for the refund to appear in the hirer’s account.

  • Refund eligibility is subject to the terms outlined in the Cancellation Policy, and refunds may not always be granted.
